The Answer Is In God’s Word

Matthew 13:10-11,13. And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”  He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Here, the book of Matthew explains how Jesus had just rounded up teaching a large crowd in parables, and His disciples came to Him and asked why He taught them that way. He responded that only the disciples had been given revelation knowledge of the mysteries of secret truths of the kingdom of God, which the rest of the people had not been granted. In other words, the disciples had an understanding imparted to them, which the people did not have.

The Lord said something in the fifteenth verse that we have to learn a lesson from it. “For the hearts of this, people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn So that I should heal them.’

The Word converted here does not mean a change from sinner to saint. It means a transformation of the condition of a man’s life. So Jesus was saying that if the people have revelation knowledge imparted to their spirits at any time, there will be a transformation in their condition, and they will manifest their healing. The results will be automatic.

The Word of God has been programmed that way; if you see it with your eyes, hear with your ears, and understand with your heart, there will be a change in your life by experiencing the healing power of God.

So the focus of Jesus’s teaching here is the importance of having revelational knowledge. Now, someone may ask, How then do I get revelation knowledge? If you are born again, have accepted Jesus into your life, and the Holy Spirit lives in you, revelation has been inputted to you. The Holy Spirit is the one who imparts the understanding of God’s Word to every child of God.

Now we have received, not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12.

The Holy Spirit helps you see, hear, and understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God. If you accept and receive this revelation knowledge that He brings to you, there will be a conversion of your condition and a transformation in your life circumstances.

God’s Word functions as a step-up converter; it transforms you from one level of glory to another. It changes the conditions of your life and brings healing to your body. When you understand this truth, you will now know that God does not choose to heal some people and not others. Instead, he said you will be healed when you see, hear, and understand the Word. There is no shortcut; His healing power is in the Word.

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.

Acts 10:34.

GIVE ATTENTION TO THE WORD

“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22.

Some people do not get the result they want from God’s Word because they do not give enough attention to the Word. In the scripture above, notice the Bible says, “attend.” The connotation here is to attend by presenting yourself and making yourself available. It is not by donating money in replacement for giving attention to the Word or by volunteering to clean the church building. Such act of service is good, but they can’t replace the Word.

The following Word, “incline,” is translated from a Hebrew word, which means “to step aside.” It means that regardless of who you are and what you must do physically or financially, God wants you to step aside and incline your ears to His Word. You may have many things on your mind, and your body may feel weak, but God says, “Step aside and listen to Me because My Words are life unto those who find them and health to all their flesh.”

Let your life become saturated with the Word of God. “If the clouds are full of rain, They empty themselves upon the earth; And if a tree falls to the south or the north,
In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. Ecclesiastes 11:3.

You won’t have to go up there and try to bring the rain down; the clouds will empty themselves when full. Just keep taking in God’s Word; the time will come when no sickness can stay in you, and healing will automatically occur. You may have been trying to have miracles, but nothing serious has happened. Keep putting the Word in you; the time will come when your body will respond, and you will get well.

THE SENT WORD

Psalms 107:17-20. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His Word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

It is important to note that the scripture above does not say He is sending His Word and healing them, even though the preceding verse is in the present tense. It says, He sent His Word and healed them. In other words, God’s Word is already there. God is not making up His mind to heal anybody now. He has sent His Word; he would be changed and healed if anybody saw, heard, and understood it.

God has already sent His Word concerning your divine healing and health. “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24. Now, see yourself in it. Do not see yourself broken and bound by diseases; see yourself healed in Christ Jesus. Speak to yourself; I see now that I am healed in Christ; I am not what my body looks like now. I see now that Jesus took my sickness and carried my illness. Therefore, I refuse to be sick; I have been healed in Christ Jesus.

As you do this consistently, it will not be long before the seed of God’s Word produces the fruit of a miracle in your body. Is that what I need? You need to; if you believe in your heart, you need to speak forth what you say you believe with your mouth.

We believe with our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we declare with our mouths to say that we believe, and so we are saved. Romans 10:10.

POWER OF CONFESSING GOD’S WORD

I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 1 Timothy 6:13.

Here, “Confession” is translated from the Greek word “Homologia,” which means to speak the same thing in consent. So confessing the Word means you agree with and say what the Word of God says about you, Himself, your world, or anyone or situation.

Why is it so important that we confess the Word boldly? It’s because our confessions are or create realities. Jesus said, “You shall have what you say” (Mark 11:23). What are the things you’re supposed to say? They’re the same things God has already declared in the Scriptures.

Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…God has said…So we can feel sure and say….” The reason He said what He said is so that we may boldly say the same thing. God’s Word isn’t for you to hear and be quiet; you respond by saying the same thing. That’s a true confession of the Word. God gave you the Word, so you’ll boldly proclaim it.

Someone might ask, “Must I say it?” Emphatically yes! Otherwise, you’ll never experience the vital reality of the Word of God in your life. It’s the way to get your spirit to take hold of the Word to become a reality in your life. The Christian life is lived by words; it’s for talkers, talkers of the Word. Perhaps you know someone who’s been attacked by cancer, diabetes, or any sickness; advise them not to keep quiet! They should have “talking sessions.” You say, “What if they’re too weak to talk?” Let them mutter or even whisper: “I have the life of God in me; the Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in me; therefore, my whole body is quicken and energized with divine life. No sickness can stay in my body. The presence of God’s Spirit destroys every trace of sickness and disease in my body.”

If they mutter it long enough, it’ll turn into a shout, and soon enough, they’ll bounce off that sickbed. God’s Word is medicine. It cures every sickness and keeps you in divine health.
