DELIVERED AND SET FREE

Colossians 1:12-14. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

We are already delivered and set free. God has already delivered us. He’s not hoping to deliver us, or He’s not praying that we might get delivered. He’s not waiting for us to come to Him and be delivered. He’s not even asking us to receive deliverance. He’s already delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the remission of sin.

DELIVERANCE BELONGS TO YOU NOW

God has already delivered us from the authority and power of Satan’s kingdom. Therefore, we don’t need to seek deliverance any longer because we have been delivered from the power of darkness, and Satan has no right to place any evil disease on our bodies any longer.

When we understand that God has given us power over all devils to cast them out and to cure diseases; when we accept we are a partaker of God’s divine nature and know that we have been delivered from the power of darkness, we will stand on the Word of God and insist on our rights.

Matthew 10:7,8. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We need to be taught who we are and what we have gotten in Christ. We need to know we have been delivered in Christ.

Why do God’s children suffer oppression? God said, “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). That’s the reason some Christians suffer and go through all kinds of bondage and oppression of the devil.

We need to realize there’s nothing more to be done. Moses said to the children of Israel. “The deliverance is not in Egypt. It’s not beyond the Jordan, “he said, “It’s so near us, it’s in our mouth. It’s in the Word of God.” Deuteronomy 30:12-14.

It is the same thing Apostle Paul said to us in Romans 10:8-10. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

I am trying to explain that the word of faith that will keep oppression and affliction far from us is in our mouth. We are the ones to insist on what God has done for us through our daily confessions, speaking out the word toward the circumstances surrounding us. Remember and know we are delivered in Christ.

CELEBRATING OUR DELIVERANCE

The Attitude of Gratefulness

Psalm 40:9,10. I have told the glad news of deliverance[ in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation.

How the Lord loves to deliver, save, and rescue. It is at the very heart of His nature.

Across scriptures, we see example after example of the Lord delivering His children from distress. He delivered the people of Israel from the hand of Pharaoh in the book of Exodus. He delivered the Jews from Haman in the book of Esther. So with that, we don’t need to be afraid with all the treats because He will deliver current-day Jerusalem from the forces that march against her, as foretold in the book of Zechariah.

God is our deliverer today. At Calvary, He delivered us from darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of the Son He loves.

Colossians 1:13. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

The cross now stands as an eternal memorial of the great freedom the Lord lavished upon us. Now we are free. Now we can tell of His deliverance and share His love with the world.

Yes, He loves to deliver. As Psalm 40:2,3 declares, He drew us up from the pit and out of the miry clay. He set our feet upon a rock and established our steps. He put a new song in our mouth, mighty praise to our God.

Psalms 40:2,3. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

What, then, is our natural response? Psalm 40:9,10 holds the answer: we pour our love upon the one who is our rock and fortress. We can’t help but pour out praise on the rescuer whom we trust.

Now is the time to make known among the nations what He has done. It is not for us to hide His deliverance within our hearts but rather tell of His faithfulness and make known His salvation. How will others believe unless they hear?

Romans 10:14. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?  And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

WE’RE HIS DWELLING PLACE.

We are now His dwelling place. We have become a God carrier, a conveyor of the Almighty God.  He is in every fiber of our being; he lives in us, every bone of our body, and cell of our blood. That is why we do not have to be diseased.

His presence in us has given us eternal life; that is quality of life. Free from sickness and suffering because we are His house; He lives in us.

Colossians 1:26,27. The mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Christ lives in us, and because He lives in us, His life in us destroys every disease and burns up every virus. Who do we think we are? We are God’s living tabernacle of witness. If we are born again, happy are we.

Colossians 1:26,27. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.  For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

The fullness of the Godhead was tabernacled in Jesus. And we are complete; we are perfected in Him who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:10. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: We have been perfected in Him.

WE ARE THE REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY

2 Corinthians 3:18. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Word of God is the mirror of God, and as we look into the mirror of God’s Word (The Bible), we see ourselves. The name of the one we see in the mirror, which is us, is called the glory of God.

We are the glory of God; that is what the Bible says. The Church is called the glory of God. As we steadfastly and consistently contemplate the image we see in the mirror, we are transformed into the image of that glory we see in the mirror. There is a transformation every day as we study the Word of God.

The glory of God we see in the mirror is not sick or depressed that needs deliverance but is alive and well in God.

Romans 8:21. Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Let it dawn on our spirit for all time that we are not recreated to be sick that needs deliverance, but for divine health to manifest as a victor and not those who want deliverance.

WE ARE RECREATED FOR HEALTH

The moment we were born again, the life we came with from our mother’s womb ceased to exist in our being; a new life from God took over. Thus, the day a person is born again, the law of physical death is reversed.

Jesus didn’t just come to restore us to what Adam used to be. He did something more significant than that. Christ brought us to a higher realm of life, the God kind of life. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation” he is a new being. So there is a new life flowing in us.

The first Adam did not have the life we now have in Christ Jesus. he was made a living soul, but the second Adam – Jesus was made a life-giving spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:45.And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

The second Adam, Jesus, was made a life-giving spirit, that is, a quickening spirit.

V46. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward, the spiritual. In other words, the one who came first was the natural one, and after him, the spiritual one, who is the second Adam.

The first Adam came under the devil’s influence, hence the influence of disease, after His fall. But thank God, we were not recreated after his fallen image. We bore that for some time until we became born from above by reborn; that is, accepting Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.

DIVINE HEALTH BELONG TO US

When we were recreated with the life of God, we were recreated in divine health. We have to understand this. The fallen nature of the first Adam came with sickness, and we could be influenced by it, but the nature of God, which we have now received, came with life; and health.

The power of sickness is destroyed. It cannot have a home in our bodies anymore. The disease has become a thing of the past.

Health became ours the day we received Jesus into our life. It became ours present tense possession. We don’t have to struggle to be healthy or healed. So often don’t understand this and turn back to live on the ordinary man’s plane, but we can stay in health through knowledge in Christ finish work of calvary.

CHRIST IS ALIVE IN US

Colossians 1:27. To them, God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Christ alive in us, living in our body, is enough to let us know that sickness is not part of God’s plan for us. We need to have a personal revelation of God, so we can reject it when people try to push infection off on us. God isn’t the one who gives and takes away as a songwriter sang from Job 1:21. “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

But this isn’t right because when we study the story of Job’s life very well, we will discover God gave to him, but the devil took away from him. In the end, Job repented and said in Job, 42:6. “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself,
And repent in dust and ashes.”

His three friends had told him God put the sickness on him to teach him a lesson, as some of us ignorantly say. But at the end, when he learned of God for himself, he repented. So we need to have a personal revelation of God in other to walk and live in divine health.

Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Ignorance is contagious. If a priest or a Pastor is ignorant of God’s Word’s proper knowledge, all members will also be victims of his ignorance. Therefore, we have to be careful of whom we follow or called our priest or Pastor.

Until we have that revelation of eternal life affecting our body, we will not live in divine health even do it is our right and inheritance. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 John 3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
