It Takes Faith, Not By Sight
“For we walk by faith, not by sight:“ 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Faith is the way of life of the born- again- believer. Another translation of second Corinthians five verse seven says: “But we live by faith, not by what we see.” It means we live by faith, not by our sensory perceptions. We regulate or conduct our lives by faith in God’s Word and not by what our senses perceive. We accept whatever the Word of God says as the final authority in our lives.
FAITH Is PROOF Of WHAT YOU HAVE
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1.
Faith is the proof that you have what you hoped for. You do not say, “I am trying to “faith it, or I am trying to get it by faith,” because faith means you have the proof that it is yours. If it is true faith, you won’t come back to say, “I had faith for it, but it did not work.” Faith means it worked because faith is the evidence. You can not have proof of something that does not exist. Faith does not try to get or receive something. Faith claims it has happened because it has already possessed it.
BELIEVING AND FAITH
There is a big difference between believing and faith. The journey of faith, however, starts with believing. Believing is a state of your spirit, based on information that you have accepted and endorsed.
Faith, on the other hand, is action. It is acting on what you believe. You can believe something in your heart, but it is not faith until you act on it. Your action is what proves your belief. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9,10.
You believe with your heart, but until you act your believing by confessing the Lordship of Jesus with your mouth, you will not be saved. It all starts with believing, but for you to experience God’s Word, your belief must translate to action (faith). You got to act on what you believe.
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? James 2:19,20. In other words, do not only believe; you have to prove your believing with the corresponding action.
Believing alone will not change anything; it will only give you a good conscience before God. It is faith acting on God’s Word that makes the difference.
USE YOUR FAITH
Now, the Bible shows us that every one of God’s children has faith. It is not something you squeeze out and try to do. It was imparted to your spirit the day you were born again. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Romans 12:3.
However, that measure of faith needs to be used so It will grow. When you use your faith, the result is that it would reproduce and multiply. You would also have more confidence to walk by faith because of the effects you have had. If you were taking five tablets a day for a medical condition, keep speaking the Word, and acting your faith. Soon you will notice that you will need only two pills a day. Then after some time, you will discover one tablet is doing the job of five. Before long, you will ultimately be off the drugs and living free of medication.
You must use the Word and fight the fight of faith. Take a look at what James 4:7 says,Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. That is how you grow your faith, and when you win, you will start enjoying life without drugs and pains.
Now, you can be sure that Satan will try to fight you in every way to bring the pain back to your body. However, when you feel that problem, even if all you have is a little strength, speak in other tongues forcefully and sharply rebuke the devil.
Your response to circumstances and events is essential. Some folks yell their grandfather’s name or some meaningless words when they hit their leg against something. Do not do that. When something like that happens, take hold of your leg and shout, “Be healed.” You may feel a lot of pain; you may even be bleeding from the impact, but speak to your leg and say, “I declare you are healed and whole in Jesus Name. Amen!
Start exercising your faith today, every day. It won,t be long before it becomes giant faith, and then you will find yourself doing great things and living the glorious life God planned for you.
Do not shy away from a challenge if you want your faith to grow and become healthy.
Abraham, at the age of ninety-nine years old he faithfully responds to an instruction of circumcising himself. Genesis 17:24. And when it gets to sacrifice his only son Isaac he had no problem with doing just that. Genesis 22.
A young man called David killed a lion and a bear in 1 Samuel 17:36, and that little obedience of faith enabled him to go after Goliath.
If you can’t use your faith for the little things, how would you be able to go after big things?
Start from where you are.
God told Abraham to start trusting, believing Him from where he was. And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; Genesis 13:14.
Jesus Christ also asks His disciples to begin the big dreams from their hometown before progressing to other parts of the world. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
