FOUR WAYS TO WALK THROUGH THE DOOR OF HEALING
KNOWING IT’S ALREADY DONE
The truth is that Jesus Christ has already opened the door of access to healing for His people. He not only opened the door of salvation but also the entry of healing for us; no man has the right to shut it.
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:4,5.
When the prophet spoke, he was looking into the future. Isaiah prophesied about Jesus Christ offering Himself as a living sacrifice for our sins and bearing our sicknesses and diseases.
When Peter made his statements concerning the covenant of healing, he looked back at the time of Jesus’s sacrifice on Calvary and the stripes laid on His back.
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.
It doesn’t say we are going to be healed-future tense. It tells us you were healed- past tense. In the mind of God, we were already healed at the cross when humanity’s sins and sicknesses were laid on Jesus.
Therefore, the door of healing and health is open wide to us. Jesus Christ opened it, but it is up to us to enter. Healing is available in salvation. In other words, healing belongs to us now. Yes, it belongs to you and me, but it requires our faith in what God has said. Faith is also known as trusting God’s Word and acting it out.
In the same way, we respond to salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior; we receive healing by taking Jesus Christ as the Healer, irrespective of the circumstances.
Not only is the gateway to divine healing now open, but Jesus Christ has opened the door of divine health. That means God not only wants us to be healed if we need it but also wants us to stay healthy.
One way to live in divine health is to walk closely with God every day and remain in close fellowship with Him in His Word, Allowing the Word of God to rule our daily thought.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8.
When we think of the Word, we will experience the Word.
BELIEVE AND RECEIVE
No one can do it for you; they can pray for you to be healed, but you have to receive it to remain healthy. Believers can agree with you in prayer for your healing; others can join their faith with yours. They can help to inspire your confidence. But they can’t go through for you just as they can’t receive salvation on your behalf.
..” I have set before you an open door, Revelation 3:8
Jesus Christ was saying, “I have done my part. I have already paid the price and opened the door of healing for you. Now it is up to you to believe and receive it.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1.
To believe is to act your faith; believing is the action of faith. Faith itself is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God, and that response is evidence. When we act our faith (believe), we receive, and it’s endorsed; we no longer require further proof or evidence.
It’s like the judgment that’s given in a court of law based on evidence produced. Once the judgment is passed, we don’t have to come again with further evidence; the evidence has been accepted and that’s why the judgment was made. Likewise, when we believe, we’ve judged whatever it is that we’ve believed to be true, and as a result, something happens: we receive! We don’t believe for nothing; the believer is a “haver.” (In my own Word)
For example, the Bible says, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life….” John 3:36. When we believed in Jesus Christ, we received eternal life: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” John 6:47. That’s why John said, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…” 1 John 5:13.
Eternal life isn’t a hope in the Sweet By-and-By; something we’re waiting on God to make happen for us; no! We got it when we believed; it’s our present-hour possession. Let’s examine Mark 11:24 in the same light: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” It’s not when we hold what we desire in our hands or see it with our physical eyes that we know we have it; our spirit took possession at the time we prayed in faith and believed that we got it.
DON’T GIVE IN TO SICKNESS
We recognize that Jesus Christ is the One who opens and shuts doors. But when we do not take advantage of His open door, we shut off access to that healing. We can forfeit our rights to what belongs to us in Christ by wrong living and wrongdoing. Failure to accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross can eventually result in believers being turned over to the devil if they are not careful.
When we fail to recognize the fruits of what Christ did for us on the cross, but we begin to walk in doubt, unbelief, or fail to accept His love- we are shutting the doors on ourselves. We close ourselves off from God’s healing.
We should keep our trust alive by yielding to the Holy Spirit; He is there in us to help us access God’s divine provisions. The door has been opened. He has made every provision available; all we need is faith and obedience to walk through.
My son, attend to my words…For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh Proverbs 4:20-22.
The Hebrew word for “health” in the scripture above is “marpe,” which means “medicine.” So if someone were sick and dying and got a hold of the Word, he’d be healed and restored because God’s Word is medicine.
The Word of God, when it is believed and received, effected a cure and completely eradicated sickness. Are you facing any challenges in your physical body today? The Word of God is medicine! Not only does the Word destroy sickness from the body, but it also keeps it immune to sickness, disease, and infirmity.
Christ already consummated the plan for our divine health; So, it doesn’t matter what the health condition is; we should place our hand on it and say, “In the Name of Jesus, we refuse to accommodate this infirmity.” Whatever part of our body the challenge is, tell it off in the Name of Jesus. We have authority in that Name; we got to use it.
Someone might have been suffering from migraine or heart trouble for a long time; it’s time to say “No.” Understand that Jesus took care of every form of pain that could have come to us. The responsibility is now ours to establish that victory in our lives! That heart trouble is unnecessary; it’s time to drop it. Yes, we can, even NOW.
We say, “heart, become normal, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,”; and it shall be so.
Live in health. Choose to be full of life every day!
LIVING A PRAISEFUL LIFESTYLE
“By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God by continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” (Hebrews 13:15)
“The sacrifices of praise are the confessions, declarations, psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs of God’s glory, grace, and goodness that we make unto Him. It’s different from saying, “I praise you, Lord, I just thank you for everything”…praise is more than that. Praising God means giving thanks to His Name for definite reasons” ( Be conscious and intentional)
In the Old Testament, the priests offered specific offerings to God; they offered sacrifices of burnt offerings and burnt incense, according to the law’s specifications. Likewise, In the New Testament, we are also admonished to offer sacrifices of praise to God. Hebrews 13:15 clearly describes the content of the sacrifice we’ve been called to offer: “By him(Jesus Christ) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“As we worship the Lord and adore Him, making confessions to His Name, we’re offering unto Him the sacrifice of praise. As we offer quality praise and present our bodies to Him as a living sacrifice, we send forth incense unto Him, and His presence manifests through us and overshadows us.” God’s Word is the seed of divine life
“When we receive God’s Word, we receive the life of whatever it talks about; whatever we’re hearing from God is the seed to produce in us, or for us, what it talks about. So, for example, when we preach and teach divine healing, the hearer receives the seed of healing, producing healing and health. So likewise, teaching God’s Word on finances produces the seed of financial blessings and miracles. That’s the power of God’s Word!”
” We should Stop asking God for things in prayer but start Using the power and privilege of prayer for higher purposes, like fellowship with the Father. You own the world. All things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21) because you’re the seed of Abraham,” God’s Word Removes all Darkness from our Lives
2 Corinthians 4:6. “For it is the God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
That means no more darkness, no more confusion, and no more uncertainties in our lives. Instead, our lives have direction and purpose because we have the light of life: “…I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12.
The eyes of our understanding have been flooded with light so that we can know and understand the hope to which God has called us and grasp the immensity of His glorious inheritance for us. Because the Word was born and now lives in our hearts, we can boldly declare that the life of God is in us; the strength of God is in us; we’re a success and a victor forever. Apart from being light, the Word is also the truth: “…Your word is truth” John 17:17. The truth lives in us.
The truth is His light; the truth is His Word, and we’re walking in the truth. The truth is that we’re of God and have overcome Satan, the world, and its systems (1 John 4:4). We’ve arrived in the place called “Christ,” where sickness, disease, and infirmity have lost their grip on us. Nothing of darkness can thrive in our bodies anymore because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost; He lives in every fiber of our being.
