GOD IS NOT GUILTY

Today, I want to share one of the essential things the Holy Spirit exposed me to during my religious crisis. The impact of that knowledge has never left my life. People automatically believe every evil that happens to them is from God and that He controls everything; by definition, God is supreme and all-powerful, and they assume He is responsible for every evil in their lives. So when good things happen, they will say it was their effort. Evil, God is in control of it. Good, it is their effort.

Both unbelievers and religious people accuse God of being Guilty of what goes wrong. Unfortunately, many Christians promote this doctrine, which has become ingrained in their lives. I think what Scripture teaches contradicts this, and you must learn this lesson.

James 1:13-17 says, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

These verses clarify that God is the author of the good things. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” If it’s good, it’s God; if it’s bad, it’s the devil. That’s straightforward theology.  God Is Not Guilty.

The reason this is so critical is that James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” It says we must submit, or yield control, to God and resist the devil. The word “resist” means to fight actively.

When people believe everything that happens in life is totally from God—for example, sickness, failure in business, losing a job, rebellious children, or divorce—that puts them in the position of being passive. If they believe God is the author of a situation and is using it to punish or teach them a lesson, they would be fighting against Him if they resisted. Yet, James 4:7 says to resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Therefore, you have to submit yourself to God.

It shows that certain things are of God, and certain things are of the devil. There is a force of evil in this world, and not everything in your life comes from God. You will submit to the devil and empower Satan if you don’t understand that.

I want to highlight a passage in Romans because it is often misused. I’ve been to public events where people who don’t know anything about God don’t go to church and hardly know any Scripture but know this one.

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

It has been misinterpreted to say that whatever happens in your life, God does it and works it together for good. I read a story of a young boy and girl who had been mixing alcohol and drugs, got into a car, drove too fast on a slick road, slid around a corner, hit a telephone pole, and were both killed. The preacher quoted this Scripture, “We know all things work together for good,” and said God must have a purpose in doing this. God didn’t kill those teenagers; in a sense, you can’t even say the devil did it. It was the teenagers. I’m sure the devil enticed them to rebel against the standards their parents and others had taught them, but ultimately, it was their choice. They’re the ones who did the dope and alcohol; they’re the ones who hit the telephone pole. That was a natural thing, and God wasn’t its source.

What does it mean when it says, “We know that all things work together for good”? First, it didn’t say we know everything comes from God and work together for good. It says everything works together for good but puts qualifications on it: “to them that love God.” This Scripture doesn’t work for a person who doesn’t love God. That is so obvious that it should go without saying. Still, it is incredible how people apply it toward instances like these young people who were doing drugs and alcohol and were in total rebellion against God and His principles. It says it only works together for good to those who love God and those who are called according to his purpose.

1 John 3:8 says, “For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” So God manifested Himself to destroy Satan’s work. That’s His purpose, and it will only work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose; those walking in this calling resist the devil and are out to destroy his works.

Those who resist the devil and live for God can say that regardless of what the devil does in their lives, God can turn it around and use it for good. We must start discerning that God does not control everything in our lives. There is an enemy that comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give us life. So, we must choose life and willfully recognize that God’s not guilty of everything that comes into our lives.

Suppose God was a physical human being who did the things He is accused of, such as putting cancer, deformities, depression, sorrow, and grief on people. In that case, I guarantee there isn’t a government on earth that wouldn’t arrest, imprison, or try to stop Him. Yet we think God, who is much more merciful than anyone we’ve met or imagined, is going around striking people and doing this. Some things are demonic attacks, some are natural, and not all disasters are God-ordained. The insurance companies write in their policies “acts of God, such as earthquakes and pestilence.” No, God is not the author of all these things.

HEAR ANOTHER LIE

John 16:33.These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you will have peace. But, In the world you shall have trouble: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Most funerals I have attended will use John 16, verses 33, to instigate sorrows in attendees’ hearts. They will encourage people to mourn and be sorrowful; in fact, they will accuse God of promising us trouble so none of us can escape calamity because God says so. So we should look forward to it and be prepared for destruction. Lie, lie, lie from the pit of hell. God Is Not Guilty.

Friends, that is not what the Scripture meant. From what the Scripture is saying, in Christ Jesus, we will have peace, but outside of Christ, in the world system, it is evil, but we should not be afraid because He Jesus Christ Has overcome and defeated the evil one. It’s just like Christ is saying that there is a huge lion un-leash in our neighborhood, but do not be afraid because all his harming abilities have been removed. It means despise the giant Lion; you should live peacefully because you are in control, not the Lion. But if you don’t have the proper knowledge of the Lion’s disformity, you will live in fear and even die because of ignorance. Hosea 4:6 says My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Ignorance is the major problem of humanity and not what they think.

SATAN AND HIS FOLLOWERS HAVE BEEN DEFEATED.

Jude 1:6. And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day.

Colossians 2:15. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.

When the Bible talks about “the world,” it is speaking of the dominion of darkness, the God of this world, the evil one – Satan’s agents that operate in it. No man or system will ever, in any way, overcome the world without Jesus Christ as Lord. But praise God; we’re born of God.

1 John 4:4. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. The Scripture also said. For he has rescued us from the Kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, Colossians 1:13.

Friends, Christ has delivered us from the Kingdom of darkness where untimely death,  organ failure, sickness, all kinds of diseases,  anger issues, bitterness, unforgiveness, grift, and where everything evil resides. Praise God!

We are in His Kingdom, the Kingdom of light where Health, joy, peace, longevity, abundance, and everything good reside.

The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. Christ’s purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10.

If you have Christ in you, you are in a better place. Having Christ is having that quality and fulfilled life. It works through your consciousness. When you know and become conscious of what you know, you experience the things in the Kingdom. That’s how it works.

Friends, To seal the deal, look at His prayer for us in John 17:15. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your Word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

Glory! God answered this prayer when Christ defeated Satan in the grave and was resurrected. And God said we rose with Him. Praise God! If you lay hold of this truth, your health and life will forever be transformed.

“Relationship with God [Christianity] is not about how much we work extremely hard to please God; it is about knowing who He is and experiencing Him.”
