How To Become Fruitful

The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people.  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26,27.

The greatest thing that could ever happen to a human person is to have and know the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the first step in how to become fruitful. The above scripture reveals the mystery hidden for ages but has now been manifested.

CHRIST IN YOU

Most of the time, the name “Christ” refers to the person of Jesus, while in other instances means the Church, which is His body. However, in its simple definition, “Christ” refers to the anointed One and His anointing.

Understanding this is essential because the man Jesus doesn’t live in you. It’s only acceptable in generic terminology to say Jesus lives in you. In reality, Jesus ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

“Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:20.

The Holy Spirit brings His presence and makes His anointing known and available to God’s people today.

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18.

So when the Bible says Christ is in you, it means the totality of the character and nature of the Lord Jesus and all His anointing represents is in you. In other words, all of His life and the power and glory of His blessing reside in you.

THE HOPE OF GLORY

Christ in you is your hope for a life of glory. If you are sick, you need the manifestation of Christ in your body. When Christ is manifested, everything that is not of God will leave.

This understanding is vital because we are recreated in our human spirit when born again. God’s life supplants the human life at the new birth, becoming a new man. However, his soul, which is the seat of his emotions, will, and thoughts, remains the same; that is why a person could be born again and still have the wrong ideas in his mind. But when Christ is manifested in your soul, you would think the thoughts of God and do His will, and this is possible when you consciously engage in mind renewal through God’s Word. Therefore, working on your mind is your responsibility.

The problem comes when many wait for God to work on their thoughts. God has done His part by eliminating the sinful spirit, the Adamic nature in you, and replacing it with His Spirit. Your consciousness of that Spirit of God in you is what will make your life transform.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2.

Your mind is not instantly transformed at the new birth; your body also doesn’t change when you become a Christian. That is why someone could be born again and still be sick in his body. But when Christ is manifested in your body, the necessary result would be healing and divine health.

SUBMISSION TO CHRIST

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23.

Every child of God is God’s dwelling place.  Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16.

But Christ can only manifest Himself in the life of the one who keeps His Word. He will manifest Himself in your soul by taking charge of your mind and giving you thoughts of God. He will also manifest Himself in your body by showing Himself alive in your organs, giving you divine healing and health.

Much more than the healing, you need the Healer. His divine presence energizes your mortal body through His Spirit that lives in you. If He is manifested in your body, no sickness can remain.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

Turn your entire being over to God, and you will be amazed at what you will experience in life. If you let Him only into your spirit, He will be there, but you may still think the wrong thoughts and do bad things. You may not obey Him when He gives you specific instructions. Your body may still be bruised and afflicted. But when you give Him your whole spirit, soul, and body, He will manifest Himself in every area of your life.

Make it a priority to have a rich fellowship with the Lord Jesus and exalt His Word in your life. Jesus answered, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23.

You need a relationship with the Healer and His manifested presence in your life. Then, you can say, “Christ lives in me now.

Become Fruitful:
SOW THE WORD INTO YOUR HEART

Mark 4:26 to 29.

And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,  and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Man’s responsibility is to sow the seed. How it will grow up was not his business. The soil has been perfectly fashioned to cause growth when you plant your seed into it. So is the heart of man. It is the right environment for the Word of God to be sown. If you sow God’s Word into your heart, it will produce results. The paper pages are not the right environment for it to deliver results.

The Word of God can’t heal anybody from the pages of a book. It wouldn’t work when you keep it under your pillow or hang it in front of your door, nor will it work if you put it in front of your car. But when the Word of God is taken from those pages and sown in your heart, it will produce results of what it talks about. If it talks of healing, it will produce healing. That is how the Word of God works when it is sown into your heart consistently. You don’t have to do anything about it. All you have to do is keep hearing it, receive it into your heart and keep it in there; soon enough, it will produce results.

Proverbs 4:20 to 22. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;  For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

God is speaking to us to have a strong desire and motivation for His Word. Expose your heart to His Word always. Doing so will influence the condition of your body and bring health and healing to your body and get healthy to it. Another word for health is medicine. God’s Word is a medicine; it brings health and healing to your body.

ENFORCING GOD’S WORD THROUGH CONFESSION

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession (1 Timothy 6:13).

The word “Confession” here is translated from the Greek word “Homologia,” which means to speak the same thing in consent. So confessing the Word means you agree with and say what the Word of God says about you, Himself, your world, or anyone else.

Why is it so important that we confess the Word boldly? It’s because our confessions are or create realities. Jesus said, “You shall have what you say” (Mark 11:23). What are the things you’re supposed to say? They’re the same things God has already declared in the Scriptures.

Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…for he hath said…So that we may boldly say….” He said what He said so that we may boldly say the same thing. God’s Word isn’t for you to hear and be quiet; you respond by saying the same thing. That’s the true confession of the Word. God gave you the Word, so you’ll boldly declare it.

Someone might ask, “Must I say it?” Emphatically yes! Otherwise, you’ll never experience the vital reality of the Word of God in your life. It’s the way to get your spirit to take hold of the Word to become a reality in your life. The Christian life is lived by words; it’s for talkers, talkers of the Word. Perhaps you know someone who’s been diagnosed with cancer, diabetes, or any sickness; advise them not to keep quiet! They should have “talking sessions.” You say, “What if they’re too weak to talk?” Let them mutter or even whisper: “I have the life of God in me; the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me; therefore, my whole body is quickened and energized with divine life. No sickness can stay in my body. The presence of God’s Spirit destroys every trace of sickness and disease in my body.”

If they mutter it long enough, it’ll turn into a shout, and soon enough, they’ll bounce off that sickbed. God’s Word is medicine. It cures every infirmity and keeps you in divine health.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. John 6:63.

“Relationship with God [Christianity] is not about how much we work extremely hard to please God; it is about knowing who He is and experiencing Him.”
