Introduction: Rethinking the Promised Land
Hello friends, welcome to Healing School at Felix Harcourt Ministries.
Today, I want to share a life-transforming truth titled “How to Live in Your Promised Land Today.”
For many believers, the phrase “Promised Land” sounds like a future destination; something we must strive toward, fight our way into, or finally arrive at someday. But under the New Covenant, the Promised Land is not a location you travel to; it is a Person you receive.
And that Person is Jesus Christ.
If you are saved, meaning you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and made Him the Lord of your life, then I have good news for you: You are already in the Promised Land.
The Promised Land in the New Covenant Is Not a Place
Under the Old Covenant, the Promised Land was the geographical territory of Canaan, flowing with milk and honey. But that land was only a shadow pointing to a greater reality.
In the New Covenant, the Promised Land is not a destination.
It is a divine indwelling.
The Promised Land is Christ in you.
The Bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV)
That phrase “eternal life” does not merely mean life without end. It refers to Zoe, the very Life of God: indestructible, incorruptible, and divine in quality.
Everything God is… Everything God has… Everything God promised… …is fully contained in Christ Jesus. So when you received Christ, you received everything God is into your spirit.
Christianity Is Not an Escape Route to Heaven
Many people believe Christianity is primarily about escaping earth and going to heaven someday. While we thank God for the assurance of eternal glory, that is not the full gospel. Christianity is about living God’s kind of life here on earth. Heaven did not lose its value; earth gained heaven within believers.
The Scripture says: “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” Colossians 2:6 (KJV)
How did you receive Him? By faith. By grace. By believing. In the same way, by faith, you are to live out His life daily.
Jesus Revealed the Father by Living His Life
When Jesus walked the earth, He did not live independently of the Father. He lived as the perfect expression of the Father’s life.
That is why Jesus boldly declared: “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father.” John 14:9 (NIV)
Jesus went further to explain: “I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me… the words I speak are not My own, but the Father living in Me does His work.” John 14:10 (NIV)
Then He made a shocking statement: “Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and even greater works than these.” John 14:12 (NIV)
Why? Because the same life, presence, and authority that were in Jesus are now in every believer.
The Promised Land Is in You
Here is the revelation that changes everything: The Scripture says, “On that day you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.” John 14:20 (NIV)
This is the New Covenant reality:
- The Father is in the Son
- The Son is in the Father
- You are in the Son
- And the Son is in you
If Christ is in you, then the fullness of God is in you.
The Promised Land is not ahead of you.
The Promised Land is within you.
That is why Jesus said: “The kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21 (KJV)
Understanding the Giants in the Land
Some believers struggle because they think challenges mean they are not yet in the Promised Land. But Scripture shows us something important: Giants existed inside the Promised Land. The battles you face are not signs of exclusion; they are signs of possession.
Your giants are:
- Opportunities to exercise authority
- Platforms for faith expression
- Proof that what you carry is valuable
Caleb understood this truth. While others focused on the giants, Caleb declared, “We are well able to overcome.” Numbers 13:30
Why was he confident? Because he knew who God was to him.
The Kingdom Advances by Spiritual Boldness
Jesus said: “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12 (KJV)
This is not physical violence; it is spiritual boldness.
You do not surrender what belongs to you in Christ. You stand firm in the consciousness of who you are and who lives in you. When your understanding aligns with your identity, giants lose their voice.
Everything You Need Is Already in You
If Christ is in you, then:
- Health is in you
- Provision is in you
- Deliverance is in you
- Protection is in you
- Peace is in you
- Longevity is in you
- Fulfillment is in you
The Scripture says: “Every good and perfect gift is from above.”
James 1:17
And all those gifts are wrapped inside the gift of Christ.
Living the Promised Land Lifestyle
The kingdom of God in you is meant to be expressed, not hidden.
Jesus said: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16.
People are drawn to Christ not by pressure, but by visible life, a life of wholeness, peace, joy, and confidence in God. Christianity is not about forcing belief. It is about displaying life.
A Prayer for Revelation and Transformation
I pray for you in the Name of Jesus:
That every veil limiting your understanding be removed.
That the Holy Spirit will illuminate the reality of Christ in you.
That you will begin to enjoy the benefits of the Promised Land consciously.
Whatever has clouded your understanding breaks off now in Jesus’ Name.
An Invitation to Receive Christ
If you are ready to experience this life, pray with me:
“Lord Jesus,
I confess my sins.
I receive You as my Lord and Savior.
Thank you for saving me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
The Life of God Is Now in You
The Bible declares: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life.” 1 John 5:11-12 (NKJV)
You now carry the Life of God. You activate it through conscious belief.
Choose life.
Choose health.
Choose faith.
Choose Christ.
Do not wait to enter the Promised Land.
Start living the Promised Land lifestyle now.
