How To Overcome Fear
Hello, I’m Felix Harcourt. Welcome to Felix Harcourt Ministries. Praise God! Friends, I want to share with you “How you could overcome fear, and I believe we will all be blessed in the Name of Jesus. Amen! Praise God!
Friends, fear is demonic; fear is Satanic; fear is evil; fear is deadly; fear is not of God. Fear is not a psychological state either. According to God’s word, fear is a spirit you do not need to tolerate. Fear is an enemy and not a friend. 2 Timothy 1 verse 7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So, it means fear is a spirit, and it is very destructive. But the good news is that 2 Timothy 1 & 7 also said, “But the Lord has given us Power, Love, and of a sound Mind. Praise God! It means we have all it takes to keep the spirit of fear away from us. Glory!
God is a good God! “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Friends, Luke 9 verse 1 says, “Jesus gave His disciples power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, friends, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savour, we become His disciple. We have the power to control what happens around us. Don’t let fear stop you from succeeding. Praise God! I command the spirit of fear out of you in the Name of Jesus! 2 Timothy 1 & 7 also said, “and of love and a sound mind. Friends, you are loved by God. Yes, you are! 1 John 3 verse 1 says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! Praise God!
Every good parent loves their Children and cares for and protects them from destruction. Every! If humans, in their weak nature, could do that, how much more Him, God? Friends, from now on, I want you to know and believe that God loves, cares, and has protected you from harm because He is for you, with you, and in you. Praise God! It works when you know it, believe and walk with that consciousness. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Fear attacks the mind, so be careful about what you think. Your thoughts shape your life. Be positive in your thought life; consider thinking about solutions and not the problems. “Positive minds produce positive lives.” “Negative minds produce negative lives.” Positive thoughts are always full of faith and hope in God. Negative thoughts are full of fear, and they result in destruction.
When we start thinking more and more about our problems or challenges, our faith diminishes, and fear begins to grip our minds. We do not deny the existence of the issues, but we do refuse to pay too much attention to them. That is wisdom! Faith comes by hearing and hearing more and more of God’s Words. Positive words are things that can inspire you. But fear comes when you focus on negativity. So you have a choice to make. Fear is your faith in the negative. Job said in Job 3 & 25. “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. You see? What he was afraid of was what eventually happen to him. That will not be your case in the Name of Jesus! Your faith in God’s Words will make you experience what the word says, but your fear in what you are afraid of will make you experience what you are afraid of.
Mr. Job was a Christian, righteous, wealthy, and protected on every side, but he continuously made sacrifice upon sacrifice—prayer upon prayer. Please, get me right. I’m not saying such things are wrong, but the motive behind it matters. In Job’s case, fear motivated it according to the scripture in Job 1 & 10. The scripture makes us understand that God has [made a hedge around him, his household, and all he has on every side. Job’s enemy accused him before God and said, “You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. Every believer is blessed. Every believer is righteous, and God protects every believer. Then why are some still being victimized by fear? The answer is ignorance, just like Mr Job. He lacks knowledge of God’s protection, and the enemy exploits his ignorance. Hosea 4 & 6 says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
So, the number one thing to overcome fear is knowledge. It’s knowledge because if you know what you are supposed to know, you will not be afraid of what you are afraid of. That is the truth. The reason why people are fearful of the dark is because they can’t see through it. They don’t know what is behind or ahead of them, but they are not afraid in the day. Why? Because they can see through. Check what you are afraid of; you lack knowledge of it. Medication, Prayer, Sacrifice, and or Fasting will not take the place of knowledge.
Friends, go for knowledge about your identity in Christ and what you want to become or do. When fear knocks at your door, and you send knowledge to open the door, you will find out that nobody is at the door. Why? Because fear can’t stand knowledge. Friends, it begins with having Christ and pursuing knowledge of your redemptive right in the Kingdom of Heaven. You can’t find hope and fulfillment anywhere except in Christ Jesus. Praise God! “Christ in you the hope of glory!
If you are willing and ready, repeat after me. Lord Jesus. I confess my Sin. I accept you into my heart To be my Lord and Savour. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus Name. Amen. Praise God!

Friends, fear is something you don’t want to tolerate. It keeps people hostage and destroys dreams and lives. A lot of sick people have died not necessarily because of their illness but because of the fear of the name of the disease. That is how deadly and destructive fear is. Before the prayer, let me share this analogy with you if this will help you understand what I’m trying to explain about how wicked fear is. Please pay attention.
MR. Dead visited a farm and agreed with the owner of the farm to kill six of the farm workers. They both agree and then Mr. Dead begins his assignment by taking the farmers’ lives. He took 1, 2, and 3. He has not even completed the 6, but 12 have died. The farm owner was unhappy with the outcome, so he asked Mr. Dead why he did not keep to their agreement. Mr. Dead said he took three, but the rest died through fear. That is how deadly fear is. Fear is more destructive than death itself. The name “COVID-19, and the news of it killed more people than even the COVID-19 itself. Many of you are walking in life as if walking on a zipline without support. With such a lifestyle, you would not be able to get or become what you have been destined to be. A wise man once said it is risky not to take a risk. The term “fear not” is stated in the Bible 365 times, which, ironically, is how many days are in a year. So it means every day we wake up from sleep, the Lord tells us to fear not, for I am with you, but people are still afraid.
Friends, if you want to be at the top in any area of your desired choice, you must be bold, fearless, and courageous. Fresh fruits don’t belong to fearful citizens. Don’t make a choice to feed from the leftovers. Friends, you are free from that demonic spell in the Name of Jesus. Good news!
Hebrews 2:14. Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—
Christ took part in the flesh and blood to destroy satan, who had the power of death, and free us from the fear of death. Praise God! Friends, Christ Has done it. Not he may or he will if you are good enough. No! Jesus Christ has freed you from fear of death so you can live fulfilled and finish strong. Praise God! He is a good God! Freedom is only in Christ Jesus! I pray that from now on, as you have welcomed Jesus into your life. Fear lose his grip on you in the name of Jesus! Amen! God bless you.
