How To Overcome Temptation

Hello, I’m Felix Harcourt, and welcome to the healing school.

Today, I will share with you “HOW TO OVERCOME  TEMPTATION when confronted with one. Friends, I understand that Life is full of temptation, but I also want you to know that God, in His faithfulness, has provided a way out of every temptation we might face. That is how good and faithful our God is.

The Scripture says,  “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11. NLT.

Good plans and good desires are what are in the heart of every loving Father toward his loving children. And we are His children, so the heart of God is full of treasures of fulfilling destinies. I see you fulfilling yours in the Name of Jesus. I pray that your dreams will never be cut short in the Name of Jesus. He says He will make a way where there seems no way. I pray that a new way open up for you in the Name of Jesus. Friends, Many of us are grieved, offended, bitter, angry, irritated, and full of hatred in our lives simply because we lack the proper knowledge on how to handle temptation. I pray that you will receive an answer to what is confronting you in the Name of Jesus.

The Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,  he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

What this Scripture means is that whatever you are experiencing in Life is not new. The Scripture says, No temptation has overtaken you except what is familiar to everyone. It means you are not the first to experience what you are experiencing and will not be the last. And at every point you are in Life, God is still faithful. Throughout your experience, the Scripture reminds us that God is always faithful. Our good works do not determine His faithfulness. Friends, according to the Scripture we read, you have what it takes to overcome the issue confronting you. It says He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can handle. So, the answer is within you. There is a better, positive way out of that challenge. I pray that you will receive an answer to that challenge in the Name of Jesus!

The Scripture says, But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can come out great. Name it all in every temptation, trouble, trial, or difficulty. The Scripture says God has empowered you to do what? To overcome, I see you overcoming every challenge confronting you in the Name of Jesus. Friends, the good news is that Jesus Christ promised not to leave us comfortless, and He fulfilled that promise by gifting us the person of the Holy Spirit. Your understanding of the Holy Spirit significantly influences your success as a Christian. We can’t live the Life of Grace given to us by Christ Jesus without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Your frustrations end when you embrace the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Part of His ministry is to reveal the love of the Father to you and the Grace of the Son. He represents the Father and the Son in a believer’s Life, walking through us to fulfill God’s plans and purpose in our lives. Therefore, we can’t live a triumphant, sickness-free, and struggle-free Christian Life without the help of the Holy Spirit. The difference between a Christian and a religious fellow is the manifestation of the gift and fruit of the Holy Spirit in one’s Life.

In John 16:7, But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

It says it is for our benefit and advantage to give us the Holy Spirit, and when He the Spirit comes, He will comfort, strengthen, counsel, and teach us all things. He will also tell us things to come, and He is our Advocate. The Holy Spirit has a lot in His ministry, and they are all for our advantage if only we take advantage of what He has. And if we do, our life experiences will be excellent. No more will you live without hope in the Name of Jesus! Whatever is contrary to redemption ends in your Life in the Name of Jesus!

Friends, there is Life and benefits in becoming a child of God. You are supposed to be celebrated and not to be tolerated. Not at all! Your days of tolerance end now in the Name of Jesus! Please, friends, don’t accept sorry from people and refuse to look hopeless. I pray that His glory be made manifest in you in the Name of Jesus! Friends, when we understand the gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we will not accept any sorry from people. Why? Because someone who is doing well will not attract sympathy. Friends, the knowledge of the Holy Spirit is what we need, not a bunch of rules and regulations. Everyone knows what is good and evil, but we are quickly drawn to choose evil instead of good, not because we want to, but because we lack the proper knowledge of who we are as Christians.

Paul the Apostle in Philippians 3:10 said He wants to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. This “knowing” is beyond the facial knowledge of someone. It means identity,  relationship, and intimacy.  Here, Paul says he wants to know more about who Jesus is and what He, Paul, is in Christ, which is what we all need. The Holy Spirit is the one who will make the Father and the Son real to you. Christianity is living the lifestyle of the Father here on earth. How can one live the Life of someone without knowing the person? That is why we need to seek to know more about who the Holy Spirit is, and the more we do that, the more we discover our true selves. Because it is His ministry to reveal our true identity as believers. Friends, knowing the Holy Spirit starts from accepting Jesus into your Life.

The Scripture says, ‘As you receive Christ Jesus into your life.’ Continue to live your Life in Him. Walk in Him and through Him. This is the definition of Christianity, and this is what Felix Harcourt Ministries is called to do. We teach everyone who crosses our path how to live their Life through Jesus. The Life of freedom and sickness-free is in Christ Jesus. Friends, if you are willing to accept this precious gift of Salvation in Christ, please, before I continue, say these words after me.

Lord Jesus. I confess my Sin. I accept you into my Life to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me in Jesus’ Name, Amen. Congratulations!

God goodness, and Grace be made manifest in you in the Name of Jesus, Amen. Friends, I recommend that you listen to one of our messages titled “How to Overcome Critical Issues in Life.” I taught “The Principle of Deep Thought. It will bless your Life. The Holy Spirit is the Gift Christ gave to us to help us through Life. If you embrace the gift of the Holy Spirit and walk with Him, you will never be a victim of temptation, stranded, or become a casualty. That is the truth, and that is the purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As Christians, Christ’s followers. You can’t become a flourishing, triumphant believer without the proper knowledge of the Holy Spirit. You can’t. A Christian with no connection, knowledge, or relationship with the Holy Spirit will struggle in his Christian walk. God the Father is in Heaven. God the Son (Jesus) is in Heaven, seated at the right-hand side of the Father, and they left us with the Holy Spirit here on earth. Friends, you need Him, the Holy Spirit. Please connect with Him if you truly want to be a triumphant Christian.

Friends, you have tried everything you could to overcome the temptation, challenge, trouble, habit, or addiction you are struggling with. The missing thing is the knowledge of the Holy Spirit. He has the answer. God is faithful not to keep to His Word by providing a way of escape. He said He will not leave us comfortless. That is why He gifted us the Holy Spirit. He is the Lord of my Life.

In James 1:13-15.  When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt Anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to Sin; and Sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

I will explain this some other time. The Holy Spirit is the person who can keep you away from being enticed by Sin. We all need Him—the person of the Holy Spirit. God does not tempt us. It is a lie from hell if you have been told that God is tempting you or teaching you a lesson with illness. That’s not true. The person who told you is anti God. He doesn’t believe in Christ. I apologize if that offends you; that’s the truth.
