I’M NOT ORDINARY

“He told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and earth.” Matthew 28:18.

In the beginning, when God made Adam, He gave him dominion and power to rule the whole Earth. As a result, Adam was in control of everything on Earth.

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they will rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”Genesis 1:26.

Through disobedience, Adam failed and sinned against the loving God. Adam then had to face the result of his disobedience by becoming enslaved to the one he yields to {Satan} and a servant to this world’s elementary things. Instead of being the controller, Adam became controlled. While the result of Adam’s transgression was going on, God broke into the realm of the natural.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14.

THE WORD IS GOD

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1.

That means God became a Man and dwelt with us. That God-Man was Jesus Christ, the Lord. He grew up like any other man, yet without sin.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:15.

This man from heaven came for a purpose. Before He left the courts of heaven to enter the womb of Mary, He had known his destiny; He had a goal for his coming.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

On the cross, He suffered a shameful death and died like a criminal. But He had already known the end of it; His heart and eyes were set and fixed on one goal; that goal is the basis of Christianity.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every Name,Philippians 2:9.

THE GLORIFIED JESUS

Jesus was glorified in heaven before He came to this world, but He came as a Man in the flesh. When Jesus was raised from the dead, he went into the heavenly throne room as a Man, and then the Father gave the highest seat in the universe to the new man called Jesus Christ. On the resurrection day, he became the glorified man, occupying the highest seat in the universe with the Father – God.

“To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Revelation 3:21.

But all this happened was to reveal the excellent redemption plan; He has been exalted and lifted up from the Earth, but thank God he has reached down and is now drawing all men unto the highest seat in the universe. You see, this is where Christianity stands on its own. No other so-called religions have ever given their followers what Christianity offers.

“Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. And I, when I am lifted up from the Earth, will draw all people to myself.”John 12:31,32.

OUR ONENESS WITH CHRIST JESUS

“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”

1 Corinthians 6:17.

We have become one with the Lord Jesus Christ through the new birth. The life in Christ is the life in us now that we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior. Christ is our life and in us.

That is the secret of Christianity. It is the union of God and Man. In the physical birth of Jesus, God united Himself with Man [us] forever. When we are born-again, we join ourselves with God forever.

Our life will take a new and permanent meaning when we know deep down that we are in union with our heavenly Father. We have become one with Him, just like a wife becomes one in the flesh with her husband.

OUR GOD-GIVEN AUTHORITY

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on Earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18.

All authority belongs to Jesus; God gave Him all the power to rule. Now, all authority belongs to us; never forget this fact:

“Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Matthew 8:5-10.

Matthew 8:5-10 reveals to us the discussion of Jesus Christ with the centurion. Jesus commends that man’s faith is the greatest in Israel. Jesus was surprised at the centurion’s faith. Throughout the two conversations, the centurion never mentioned “faith” or “believe.” He did not say, “Lord, you must help me now because I have the most incredible faith. Did he see it on his face or read it in his heart? Good question:

THE LEVEL OF OUR FAITH IS REVEALED IN OUR CONVERSATION

We may hear the Word of God one hundred times, but as long as we do not let that Word influence our daily life, we will never have strong faith, and the blessing of God may not manifest in our life. Are our words depicting belief or unbelief? Our words will determine the result of our fruit.

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:37.

We, as humans, were not created to talk negatively. We shouldn’t speak our felling; we should talk about what we want to see. We need to talk about our future and not our present. We corrupt our prospects when we talk negatively about ourselves because of what we are going through. Still, when we start talking positively about ourselves, we create a positive future, irrespective of what we are going through. “For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Words can create a life for ourselves, Death, health, or sickness. Nothing works without words, in Genesis 1. God created the heavens and the Earth, but darkness was over what He made. So He has to speak with His words in other to make things happen. And He said, let there be light.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. The Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3.

The Spirit and the Angels await for our words to carry out their work effectively. They only work with terms that agree with God’s Word. They don’t work with negative comments, but Satan does.

“The tongue has the power of life and Death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21.

The promise of God is voice-activated. “It is Godly wisdom to speak God’s Word during a crisis.

Voicing God’s Word means we agree with God. It means we believe His Word and are not ashamed of what He has said. The victory that Christ has already worn and made us Victor can only be sustained through our faith-filled, positive words. We must learn and decide to speak back to the negative thoughts coming out of our minds.

The mind is where the battle is. “When you control your mind, you will control your life and health.

We should guard our heart, which is our mind, with the Word. Positive words, the Word of God that we believe in our hearts. Speak it out with our mouths if we want to see its manifestation in our life.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23.

YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John 5:11-12.

Eternal life is the nature of God, and the Bible says this life is in Christ Jesus. This is the life Jesus referred to when He said, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” John 5:26. Jesus had that life, which He received from the Father. It’s translated as “eternal life” in English because of the limitation of the English language; this is the “God-life” or “the God-kind of life.”

There’s animal life, plant life, human life, and then God’s life: the life of Deity. Anyone with the Son of God has this life, and anyone who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have eternal life. That’s what we read in 1 John 5:11-12.

It doesn’t matter that someone is your sibling, Father, mother, friend, co-worker, or classmate; if they don’t have the Son of God, they don’t have eternal life, and that’s serious trouble. It means they’re subject to the darkness and depravities of this world; they’re under the dominion of spiritual Death. It’s the reason we preach, and it’s the reason you must do everything possible to ensure your loved ones receive eternal life in Christ Jesus.

The Bible says, “…the gift of God is eternal life…” Romans 6:23; that gift is only available in Jesus Christ. He came that we may have life to the full John 10:10. The vibrant, glorious, transcendent life of God in its fullness is what Jesus brought; it’s no ordinary life, and if you believe in Him, that’s what you’ve received into your spirit. You don’t have to “feel” it in your body first to be conscious that you have eternal life; it’s in your spirit.

Your consciousness of your divine nature and origin is so important. Recall the words of the Apostle John: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” 1 John 5:13.

FAITH IS THE BRIDGE

“For you are all childproof God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26.

In Acts 3:25, when the Apostle Peter was preaching to the Jews, he said to them, “Ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant….”
Peter was speaking spiritually. He didn’t mean they were the children of the Prophets in the sense that they were born by the Prophets’ wives; no. We need to get an understanding from this that’s very important: When he called them the children of the Prophets, he meant children of the promise or the spoken Word.

Now, if they were the children of the Prophets and of the covenants, who then are we? A significant problem in the world today is the identity crisis. Many don’t know who they are. They’re still grappling with the question: Who am I? What am I doing on Earth? What’s my life about? The believers in the early Church didn’t argue with him (Peter) because they knew he was telling them the truth about their identity. They weren’t in the covenant; they were the children of the covenant.

Many Christians celebrate the idea that they’re in covenant with God. No! We’re not in covenant with God; we’re children of the covenant. That’s who we are; we’re the result of the covenant. Galatians 3:27- 29 says, “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek nor bond nor free; there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

The Apostle Paul, in the preceding scripture, lets us know that we’re as much Abraham’s seed as the Jews that Peter addressed in his epistle. The new creation is the actual spiritual seed of Abraham. We’re heirs of the promise. Romans 8:17 says, “…if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ….” That’s who we are; that’s our identity! It’s a present-hour reality.

ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES TO LOOK AT:

Jesus called His twelve followers to Him. He gave them the right and the power over all demons and to heal diseases. Luke 9:1.

Then Jesus said to them again, “May you have peace. As the Father has sent Me, I also am sending you.” When Jesus had said this, He breathed on them. He said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you say that people are free of sins, they are free of them. If you say that people are not free of sins, they still have them.” John 20:21-23

For sure, I tell you, whoever puts his trust in Me can do the things I am doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father. John 14:12.
