IS JESUS A GOOD MAN?
John 10:10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jesus came so we might have life. There are different kinds of life on planet Earth. There is animal life, plant life, human life, aquatic life, etc. When a man is born into this world, he’s born with human life. However, human life is insufficient because man is a spirit being and needs supernatural life to function to his full potential.
John 3:6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
That’s why Jesus came; to give us the Father’s kind of life – eternal life – the God-life. His very life was in Adam(the First Man); that life enabled Man and God to commune together. We become part of this glorious new life when we’re born again.
He said in John 5:26, “…as the Father has life in Himself, even so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself.” So then, in 1 John 5:11, the Apostle John lets us know that anyone who has received Jesus as Lord has this life.
When we’re born again, we have the same life that Jesus has in its fullness. This life is sickness-free, disease-free, poverty-free, and failure-free. It’s a life of glory, victory, success, and excellence.
Religion would make us believe we can only receive this life when we reach heaven, but that’s not true. The Bible clarifies that we received this life the moment we accepted Jesus as Lord of our life. In John 1:12 to 13. In all his natural intelligence, goodness, and kindness, man is nothing before the Lord until he receives this glorious life in Him.
We can become a partaker of this glorious, supernatural life by asking Jesus to be the Lord of our life. When we receive this life, it doesn’t matter how long we may have suffered from ulcers, cancer, paralysis, Covid-19, or diabetes; we will be healed! Every wound in our body that has defied medications will close up! Nothing of the devil can stay in us once we embrace the superior life in Christ Jesus.
IT WORKS THROUGH OUR CONSCIOUSNESS
God wants us to have the consciousness of the divine life in us. He wants us to be aware that no one, and nothing, can destroy us because of this divine life working in every part of our being. Ephesians 2:1 says, “And you [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins” (AMP). We should think about that: we were dead, but now we’re alive in Christ. Can we see why we’re indestructible and invincible? Life works in us. This is the right mindset for the believer in Christ; the Lord Jesus Christ came to this world, died in our place, and was raised from the dead to give us a new life that’s not permissible for defeat, failure, or early death.
We should, therefore, live happy, joyful, and in glory, victory, righteousness, dominion, and excellence. Live the triumphant life for which the Lord Jesus died. He died for nothing, but for us to enjoy the benefits of the new life, He’s given us. Therefore, we should refuse to be defeated or mesmerized by Satan; refuse to let sickness ravage our bodies! Say no to poverty and lack. Every day, be conscious that His Life is at work in us!
FEED ON THE WORD
James 1:22 MSG. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear!
God’s Word is powerful – having the ability to produce in us what it talks about. Nonetheless, the fact that God speaks it to us doesn’t guarantee that we will see the results. God’s Word can only produce what it talks about when we Believe and walk with the consciousness of our beliefs. It’s like a seed, and the right environment and conditions necessary for germination must be present for any seed to germinate.
In the same way, God’s Word won’t produce any result except if we create the right environment – the environment of faith. But first, we must understand, believe the Word and act on it! So Matthew 13:23 says, But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears and understands the Word. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”
Abraham is an example of someone in the Bible who worked the Word. In Genesis 17:5, the Lord told him, “Neither shall thy name anymore be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” At this time, Abraham and his wife Sarah were already well-advanced, Abraham being about a hundred years old, while Sarah was ninety. Besides being barren, Sarah had well gone into menopause, the age where it wasn’t even naturally possible for her to conceive anymore. But Abraham worked the Word. The Bible says, “…he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though were.” Romans 4:17.
Abraham created the right environment for what God had told him to come to pass. He believed and gave glory to God, calling himself what God had called him – Father of many! He worked out his salvation as admonished in Philippians 2:12: “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
You work out your salvation by putting to work what God has said concerning you in your own life. When you personalize God’s Word and apprehend it and appropriate it for yourself, it becomes a reality in your life! And like Abraham, you’d get the desired results.
That transformation you desire in your finances, health, and family depends on you, not God. The Psalmist says, “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” Psalm 119:89. His Word is settled in heaven, but through your faith, you must settle it on Earth.
YOU ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT
James 1:21. Says, Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the Word planted in you, which can save you.
God’s Words protect you from being harmed. God’s words give health when it is received and understood. James says we should get away with negative, corrupt comments that have made us develop the wrong attitude. The truth is that If you want God’s Word to benefit you, then you must eliminate all false philosophies you might have toward God’s Word.
Mark 2:22. says And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
You have to take a stand if you want to experience a new life in Christ. God has a better vision, a better plan for you. God looks at you with a different lens; He sees you as spirit beings like himself. Your understanding of your new life in Christ will change the old philosophy of yourself.
The scripture says In John 3:6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
We relate to God as one born of the spirit; our fleshly body doesn’t connect us to God. Why?. Because God is a Spirit and made us of His Kind, we are reborn to think and analyze things spiritually. We got a new nature immediately; we gave our life to Him. Irrespective of our human body, we have a new language now. We got to speak differently, not as earthly humans but as heavenly citizens. That is what James was emphasizing in James 1:21.
John 3:12 says, If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? Verse 31 continued. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the Earth is earthly and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
As long as you are mentally earthly-minded, the things of the spirit will not benefit you. 1 Corinthians 2:7 opens it up more. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,. Therefore, we communicate to God with heavenly language.
Walking in this earthly realm with the consciousness of who you are in spirit elevates you above sickness and calamity that resonates with worldly people. You are not an ordinary human but an extra human complete with Godly potential. Therefore, you can’t afford to be victimized, allowing society to take advantage of your life.
Galatians 4:6. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, Abba, Father!” Verse 7. So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; since you are his child, God has also made you an heir.
The Spirit of God in you, His nature that you received when you gave your life; that is your new birth. That spirit life relates to God as a son, not an enslaved person or servant. You are entitled to God’s inheritance. Health and wholeness belong to you in Christ.
When you get this information right, you will stop begging, appealing to get things done, but you will simply receive and walk in it. Christianity is enjoyable when you understand your identity; distinguish between your spiritual and fleshly lives.
James 1:18. By his own choice, he gave us birth by the Word of truth so that we would be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
We are considered firstborn; we are part of His DNA. That is what qualifies us for the kingdom inheritance. But, we can only access this Godly inheritance by being spiritually minded. So, we must stop thinking like worldly people and start using our spiritual minds, Godly minds.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Romans 8:6.
