Jesus has Done It All!

“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 2 Peter 1:3.

I don’t think there is anything we want from God that He hasn’t already done. Everything that has to do with life, provision has been made available through Christ. We should not ask God to bless us, heal, do this, and do that, but we should be on the receiving side because the truth is that He has done everything He needed to do for us.

If it is to bless us, He has done that already. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1: 3.

If we are asking for healing, it is a done deal. “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.

Ho, we need to ask for money so we can be wealthy. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9.

What about sin? Shouldn’t we need to ask Him every day to forgive us? “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

1 Peter 2:24.

Everything we need to accomplish our tasks, whether spiritual or physical; God has already provided for us before we even thought of having the need.

Sometimes we should pause and ask ourselves some hard questions; why have we not received what we have been asking? Has God forgotten us or what? It is frustrating asking for something and never receive it. The truth is that we can not ask for what already belongs to us and expect to receive what is ours from somewhere else.

Most of us are busy asking God to give or do things that He has already done.

“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. Luke 15:31.

The Father expects us to be in command, in control, in possession of what He has provided for us. We are supposed to be the ones to issue out God’s provision to others, not us begging for it. He said, “Go heal the sick. Matthew 10:8.

Jesus finished with all pain and sorrows; a new being with a new life in Christ had begun as it was in the days of Adam in the garden before the fall; when the Man was in charge.

Before the fall, Adam was not in a position to ask God for material or spiritual needs. Why? Because there was no need. God ensured all Man would ever need was provided before Man came to the planet. Man became a beggar, asking for survival when he sold his birthright to Satan.

Just like the prodigal son in Luke 15:21, “And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’”

Any time we found ourselves in this kind of mentality of begging to be accepted or working very hard to be rewarded like the prodigal son elder brother in Luke 15:29,

“So he answered and said to his Father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.”

It means we have fallen out of grace.

At the cross, there was a reversal. We were brought back to the initial stage where Adam was, where God intended Man to be. A place of health, wealth, sin-free, peace, rest, abundance, etc.

At the cross, Jesus, with a loud voice, shouted, “it is Finished’. What is ‘Finished’?

‘It’ is sickness, pain, diseases, illness, lack, poverty, homelessness, suffering, sin, untimely death, failure, shame, fear, anxiety, panic attack, divorce, single-wood, etc.

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His Spirit. John 19:30.

We have to change our approach from begging, asking to receive, and possessing because all God has, belongs to us. Every good and perfect gift has been given to us by God through Jesus Christ. We should not exclude ourselves from the blessing of health, wealth, and perfectness.
