The Secret To Living A Healthy Life featured image

THE SECRET TO LIVING A HEALTHY LIFE

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10.

USING YOUR MOUTH WISELY

“I believe what the Word says about my healing and victories, but I’m not experiencing them. Oh God, why?” While this statement runs in many minds, the Scripture above gives a clear answer. Remember what the Scripture said in James 3:6. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

Make your tongue your tree of life because your “tongue-work,” which is your response to the Word, is so important. Understand this: believing makes you right with God, which is wonderful, but that’s not enough; you have to confess to what you’ve believed. With your heart, you believe what God has said, but with your mouth, you repeat, reiterate, and re-echo what He has said; that moves you into the realms of what you have believed. Thus, to be saved, you don’t stop believing God raised Jesus from the dead; no! You have to confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life.

Your believing and your talking should be aligned together. Otherwise, you might think things are working out right for others because they’re more specially gifted than you are. But, no! They’ve only learned and are applying the principle of synchronizing their believing with their confessions.

Act on the Word; make bold declarations about yourself based on what God has said concerning you in His Word: “He has said, that you may boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6). So then, if you believe what He has said, say the same thing with your mouth, whether open or public.

For example, 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Believe it, but don’t stop there. Say the same thing because you agree with Him. Until you confess and allow that truth to take hold of your Spirit, you’ll not walk in the realms of what you’ve believed; the vital experience of righteousness will elude you. So, in faith, you must synchronize your beliefs with your confessions.

SOW WORDS SEEDS INTO YOUR FUTURE

For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say… (Hebrews 13:5-6).

Some of the remarkable progress in Felix Harcourt Ministries and family that we see today are the results of the confessions we have been making. And we’re still creating new realities for today and the future with the Word of faith in our mouths because we’ve come to understand Christianity as “the great confession.” No one can live a victorious Christian life by being a “quiet believer.” By that, I mean believing but not talking.

You must translate your belief into faith by “talking” about your beliefs. Some even feel they can pray, sing or carry out spiritual activities by thinking in their minds. No. The Christian life is lived by words plus talkers. Now, this has nothing to do with being talkative or chatty. I’m referring to speaking the Word. It’s not enough to believe. Neither is it scriptural to pray in your mind. You must speak and declare the right words. Jesus said in Matthew 12:37, “For by thy words you shalt be justified, and by thy words, you shall be condemned.”

In Mark 11:23, He again placed a premium on words when He said, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” The Scriptures insist on the declaration, confession, announcement, or talking about what you believe.

Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Your confessions create realities. When Jesus taught His disciples about faith, as we read in Mark 11:23, He emphasized “saying,” indicating the vital role of “speaking” in our lives as Christians. To live a practical Christian life, you have to put the Word of God on your lips; it’s God’s recipe for success, as revealed in Joshua 1:8: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Daily, speak words consistent with God’s divine provisions, plans, and purpose for your life. Then, you can talk your way out of any predicament and talk yourself to the top! The power is in your mouth Proverbs 18:21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Why is it so important that we confess the Word boldly? It’s because our confessions are or create realities. Jesus said, “You shall have what you say” (Mark 11:23). What are the things you’re supposed to say? They’re the same things God has already declared in the Scriptures.

Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…for he hath said…So that we may boldly say….” He said what He said so that we may boldly say the same thing. God’s Word isn’t for you to hear and be quiet; you respond by saying the same thing. That’s the true confession of the Word. God gave you the Word, so you’ll boldly proclaim it.

The Christian life is lived by words; it’s for talkers, talkers of the Word. Perhaps you know someone who’s been attacked by cancer, diabetes, or any sickness; advise them not to keep quiet! They should have “talking sessions.” You say, “What if they’re too weak to talk?” Let them mutter or even whisper: “I have the life of God in me; the Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in me; therefore, my whole body is vitalized and energized with divine life. No sickness can stay in my body. The presence of God’s Spirit destroys every trace of sickness and disease in my body.”

If they mutter it long enough, it’ll turn into a shout, and soon enough, they’ll bounce off that sickbed. God’s Word is medicine. It cures every infirmity and keeps you in divine health.
