why die when you can live featured

WHY DIE WHEN YOU CAN LIVE?

My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words.  Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.

Proverbs 4:20 to 22.

God’s Word is a never-failing remedy in every area of our lives, including health. As children of God, we must incline our ears to His sayings to have life and health. When Jesus was on the earth, He was the will of God in action to bring life and health to people.

Jesus said healing is the children’s Bread. That means healing belongs to God’s children, and He has already provided it for us in Christ Jesus.

A Gentile woman who lived there came to him, pleading, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! For my daughter is possessed by a demon that torments her severely.” But Jesus gave her no reply, not even a word. Then his disciples urged him to send her away. “Tell her to go away,” they said. “She is bothering us with all her begging.” Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep—the people of Israel.”

But she came and worshiped him, pleading again, “Lord, help me!” Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.” She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.”  “Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

Matthew 15 verses 22 to 28.

If you are born again, then you are God’s child, and according to Jesus, healing is your Bread. It is your daily Bread, and you can partake of it now. Healing is a provision that belongs to us from our Heavenly Father, as Bread belongs to a child from his earthly parents. So also, healing belongs to us based on other rights and privileges of our blood-bought inheritance in Christ.

HEALING IS OUR FAMILY RIGHT

The day we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become children of God. That makes us part of His family. Therefore, healing is our family heritage. In Romans 8, verse 15 says, So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call Him, “Abba, Father.” God is our very own Heavenly Father. Therefore, healing belongs to us because we are His children. It means healing belongs to us by the right of our inheritance in God’s family.

HEALING IS OUR LEGITIMATE RIGHT

Healing is our legitimate right because the new covenant is a legal document sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 8 verse 6. But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

Hebrews 12 verse 24. You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

Hebrews 13 verse 20. Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—

The new covenant guarantees us everything Jesus secured for humanity on the cross. And that includes divine healing.

Matthew 8 verse 17. This fulfilled the Word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

1 Peter 2 verse 24. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right.
By his wounds you are healed.

Legally, Jesus suffered on the cross as our substitute, so we could be free from the illnesses that attack our bodies and minds. Therefore, we have a legal right to divine healing through the new and better covenant ratified by Jesus Christ’s blood.

HEALING IS OUR REDEMPTIVE RIGHT

Healing is also our redemptive right because it is included in God’s redemptive plan. Jesus provided divine healing on the cross in his death, burial, and resurrection, just as He provided remission for our sin. Therefore, we also have a redemptive right to divine healing.

Isaiah 53:4 to 5. It was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

Every born-again child of God has the right to receive healing based on Jesus’ redemptive work on the cross. Since Jesus carried our sicknesses, we don’t need to carry them. So let’s not continue to accept what Jesus already took for us.

HEALING IS OUR PRAYERFUL RIGHT

Christ said, In Mark 11:24. You can pray for anything, and if you believe you’ve received it, it will be yours. Healing for our bodies is a desire, and God is the One who promised to satisfy our desires that align with His Word.

Healing is also something we need. So Philippians 4:19 says, And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

When we pray, we can take what we need by faith in God’s Word. We can bring our requests boldly before God’s throne of Grace. Hebrews 4:16 says, So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy and find Grace to help us when we need it most.

God’s children have the right to take and receive divine healing prayerfully.

HEALING IS OUR DIVINE RIGHT

The Bible says that we become new creations when we are born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17.

We became sons and daughters of God. Romans 8:14 and 16. Healing is our divine right because our divine Heavenly Father gave it to us. It belongs to us. The life of God coming into our spirit makes us new creatures. We are born of God’s Spirit in the New Birth. John 3:3 to 8. We are created anew in God’s image and likeness in our spirits. Therefore, we have a right to divine healing.

HEALING IS OUR PROVISION RIGHT

Healing is our provision because God gave it to us at His table of provision.

Psalm 23:5. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil. As a result, my cup overflows with blessings.

Our enemies are Satan, his host demons, and evil spirits that try to make us sick. But our heavenly Father’s table of provision has been well prepared for us. And healing-the children’s bread-is on that table waiting for the children of God to partake of it. So we have to ask our Heavenly Father, Father, I take the Bread, thank you for the provision in Jesus’ Name, I am healed.

Healing is always on the Master’s table. And He is calling His children to take their places at the table. He wants us to come and dine to enjoy what He has already provided for those who believe.

Feeding on God’s Word concerning healing is like eating natural food. Jesus Christ said, ‘People do not live by Bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4. Bread means food. Therefore, God’s Word on healing is our Bread.

In other words, Jesus says that what food is to our body, God’s Word is to our spirit/soul. So we got to feed on the Word in the area of healing. Healing is the children’s Bread. And feeding on God’s Word on healing can make us whole in every area of our lives.

FAITH TO BELIEVE

Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Faith is the connection between God and us; the fruit of our relationship with God depends on our use of faith. Walking with God is walking by faith. If we are not ready to use our faith, we have woefully ignored the kingdom inheritance that belongs to us because the kingdom inheritance belongs to faith users.

If you read between the lines of Hebrews 11, one of the many things you will notice about the potential of faith is that there are unseen realities that will take only faith to bring to manifestation. Who God is, what He has, and what He has done for us through Christ are real, but it takes faith to believe it and become what you expect.

Mark 9:23. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Faith believes. Believe what? Faith believes in what Grace has provided. Grace has provided the inheritance, and if it is Grace, your effort is not needed but to trust the provider and believe what He has provided; that is what faith is.

Galatians 2:16. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

When you feel that God is not satisfied with your performance, having this feeling, I need to pray more, thank God more, and read the Bible more. When you are in this position in your Christian walk, you have fallen from Grace, working against Him and not with Him. You have ignored the effect of the sacrifice that Christ has paid. You are now relying on your work or performance. The Scripture clearly says your effort would not justify you; that is why Christ came.

Matthew 3:17. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

God’s satisfaction is based on Christ and what Christ has accomplished for us. Therefore, God is pleased with every one of us not because of who we are but because of Christ. Does that mean our character doesn’t matter? Not at all. Our nature will only change when we actively believe what God says about us in Christ.

Romans 4:1 to 7. What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter?  If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God.  What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

This is so powerful and so transforming. The simple summary of that Scripture is to stop depending on yourself. On what you wish or think you can do for God, so He will heal you but believe in what He has already done for you through Christ. I can spend the whole day teaching and explaining Romans 4.
